Our Heritage

Black-Owned, Family-Owned, Women-Led

Scholars First Education is a Black-owned, family-owned, and women-led childcare center created with one purpose in mind: to provide high-quality, culturally affirming care and education for Black and Brown children.

We believe underserved communities are often placed at a disadvantage when it comes to access to strong early childhood education. While play is an important part of childhood, we also believe our communities need more curriculum-based childcare centers that prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally from an early age.

Educational Equity

We believe underserved communities are often placed at a disadvantage when it comes to access to strong early childhood education.

Play with Purpose

While play is an important part of childhood, we focus on curriculum-based childcare that prepares children academically, socially, and emotionally.

Growth & Consistency

We pride ourselves on consistency, growth, and community, committed to creating a safe, structured, and loving learning environment.

Cultivating a Loving Learning Environment

Classroom Art Activity

The same love, time, and effort we pour into the children we serve is the same care we pour into our staff. We believe supported teachers create stronger classrooms, which is why we value an environment where our team is empowered to grow alongside our students. At Scholars First Education, our leadership team is committed to creating a safe, structured, and loving learning environment where every professional is seen, heard, and supported.

Healthy teacher-to-child ratios are non-negotiable for us. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported in their early years.

Early childhood education matters

From birth to age 8 , and at Scholars First Education, we are committed to doing our part.
